And you are an IDIOT! Worry about what you do and not what others do.

hazmat97 04-30-2012 11:46 PM

Seen some nice AMDs, but I haven't seen any that have the true barrel length...

Allow me to rectify that.

http://i44.photobucket.com/albums/f1...912_153736.jpg

Got the itch for an AMD after firing a postie version. (That I was later hired to repair due to the original builder's ignorance of the art of headspace. Trust me, it was all legit, he put me on his FFL to fix his AKs if they break.)

http://i44.photobucket.com/albums/f1...5843601047.jpg

Update: And that would be the one I fixed. Whomever built it for him forgot to headspace it and hacked the hell out of the trunion to the point the original barrel and front trunion were unsalvageable. It was so bad, after I test fired it, some cases showed mushrooming at the head, or the case shoulders were at the mouth.

The rifle runs flawlessly now. If you'd like to fire this particular rifle, come on down to the Buffalo Chip Machine Gun Shoot (yes, Marge, that Buffalo Chip) during the Sturgis Rally, the first full week in August.

Update II: In case anyone was wondering and getting their knickers in a potential twist, I built the rifle pictured first on a Form 1.

Your the troll....

Posting a thread doesnt mean you own it btw, nor does it give you the right to play internet batman. Instead of casting accusations you could pm him, albeit his rifles legality is none of your concern.

Dark One 05-01-2012 07:00 PM

So what front grips or where can I find some to replace mine? I want an AMD with no front pistol grip.

Looks good. You should check out AMD65tech's cheek riser, it'll really help your cheek weld with that optic set up.

actually you are trolling and policing your own thread... when you make a picture thread you invite others in... dont troll them... also if a gun ships to you, its 922r compliant when it arrives, jgsales wouldnt ship illegal guns, second his fcg and mag parts piston could be 922r.. why ask, you my friend are stepping out of line, especially with a low count of posts.. relax and be happy he contributed to your thread, dont run and tell on him

firststrike51 05-07-2012 06:37 PM

where is everyone getting their wood grips from?

sphughes 05-07-2012 07:50 PM

I got the quad rail from amazon.Paid about $35 for it. Red dot from vector optics via amazon as well. $50. Came with the cantilever mount so you can bring it more rearward.Hogue grip from cheaperthandirt. Had to notch the corner out for stock button. Everything is rock solid. Ill try to find links for the rail and optic. Added some ladder style rail covers to replace the ones that came with the rail. Slims the whole pkg down by about an inch.

Thanks! I'd found a UTG but it was twice that price. Does it fit the AMD easily?
