It was just a temporary set up.

Had a couple of younger shooters and I didn't want to take a chance of them burning their hands.

Thankfully they never got it hot enough to melt, but better safe than sorry.

All of them are tgi besides that one. It's a og barrel matching kit build on nodak kp receiver with triangle folder. If you look closely you can see the folder on the other side since it folds left instead of right like the regular amd stock. I love me some amds.

I'm digging it!

I did that same thing for a friend not to long ago.

Yeah went with something a little different for my 2 shooters. They work well and just perfectly make the length requirements with a slight modification.

I was on the fence about building this variant until the TGI popped up for me to look at. Unfortunately a firm, high price made building one more lucrative. I built mine on an 80% from ReCreator Blanks. I need some blue grips for mine.

I wish I would have picked up an AMD 65 when they were under $450.

Back in 2012 they couldn't give these away for $399. That's what I got mine for with free shipping from Buds. Awesome little guns. They have original barrel parts kits for $400 to $500 nowadays though, get one and build it.

You guys need some tennis racket cases.

This is with a 20 round mag rocked and locked. A 30 rounder fits just as well!

Just acquired a TGI Import, had about 17,385 rails on it... I immediately restored it to the way it should be...

That is beautiful. Is it worth it to get a tax stamp for that extra inch or two you save with the shorter brake? I've been contemplating the idea.

I think so, I can't get past the extra long pinned brakes, or the 16"barrel versions. I say do it if you have the spare funds to do so. I had to wait a year to install the stock though due to ATF wait times. If I put a muzzle nut on it and fold the stock it feels great for maneuverability. A blast to shoot too.

Makes sense. I love the AMD brake. My TGI recoils less than my SAM7-R, or at least that is the way it feels! Just finished putting a folding triangle stock on mine, but used an adapter rather than going full tilt like you did. That triangle completely changes the way this gun feels! I'll post up pictures when I have some good light tomorrow.

Completed this one today. TGI SA2000M SBR. Went with a 4 piece FH since I had it laying around. I'll throw a regular AMD brake on eventually but I like the beer can. Blue grips from Ronins Grips set it off. Now to hit the range.
