See, that's why I like the G. Just about every other AK is just a semi auto version of the real deal. But the G was semi to begin with. So it seems more "authentic" to the original. Well, unless you put an FA position indicator on the side.

Very nice! Original barrel? There is just something about Romanian AKs. I really like them a lot.

I miss when they were $55 with a barrel and cleaning kit and stuff.

I have one remaining perfect kit I got from Tapco that was $85.
Near perfect wood and still has paper in the barrel.
Someday I hope to do a perfect authentic build on it.

OP nice gun enjoy it.

That is a nice looking rifle !
I just got my kit back from Global here in Michigan yesterday.
Original Barrel, numbers matching kit, built on a Nodak.

Love me some Romanian AKs

Well, I highly recommend Two Rivers Arms in Oklahoma City, OK!!! They will build it right and then send it right back to you if you send them a receiver on which to build it. I couldn't be happier with my Two Rivers AK!!!

I agree with this ^^^^

if mine was not originally full auto then why did it come with the full auto parts? I don't think they're going to throw in some full auto parts for free! :-) LOL

Having Two Rivers build a Romy G for you is like taking your VW Beetle to a Porsche dealer for a tuneup, It may be a simple job, but dammit, it's going to be done right.

Looks good OP. I'm not a Romy fan but I really, really like it. Very nice kit and it looks better than most factory Romys do!

The Guarda Civil (G) rifles did have the full auto parts installed and the third axis pin with slotted rail. What they didn't have was a full auto disconnector installed, so the weapons only fired in semi.

The idea was if things got crazy, the auto disconnector could be installed quickly to make them md pu 63s.

edit: very nice rifle, OP!

Thank you so much. I guess that would explain the missing disconnector from my kit, right? :-) LOL.

Thank you for the info, I learned something today about my rifle.

Nope, everything is just as I bought it originally! I did not want anything fancy done to it as far as finishes go because I wanted it to look as authentic as possible. I could have had them do a battle-worn finish but I really couldn't spend the money on that so I just said do your magic and I will be happy! :-) they definitely did their magic and I am very happy.
