Default To slr107Ur ? Counseling needed

Yup another.

I have a "somewhat" limited budget here. I dont have a lot of money but bills get paid on time, With a bit of change in the safe I still have to be conservative with my purchases.
I recently hit 40yo so I went and bought myself another AK, 107fr.

Well I have my eyes on a UR, while a new FR and the ol Sgl's sit in the safe.

I recently bought the FR because there seemed to be no UR's in sight then. Well the UR's are "coming back" around and I have an opportunity to sell the FR for a UR.
Now
The est price will be "near" the 1400$ mark after the transfer fee.
With my intended Eotech xps2-2 another 300$ or so
Mount 100-130$
Fake can untill my stamp comes in 85$ that noodle is hideous.
Molot grip 35$

To start this will already run near the 2000$ mark.
After stamp 2200+

This is a broad topic and I will probably get some sht,
but for those members who know where Im coming from can provide some personal insight on this it would help.

Do I spend the wheel and stfu or keep what I got and buy ammo ammo ammo and an AR pistol.......

Ammo ammo ammo & replace the AR pistol with more ammo

But, at the end of the day it's what YOU want.

I was just getting ready to buy $1000 worth of ammo for the stack...

instead I now have an POF MP5k with side folding brace on the way, along with a stack of POF mags, H&K 3 point sling and other such bric-ŕ-brac. I spent quite a bit more than that grand on this sudden “must have”.

A man only needs a rifle, shotgun with 2 barrels, and a basic handgun to meet a broad spectrum of needs from hunting, home defense and pleasure shooting.

You and I am not that guy^.

Enjoy the 107ur.

I don't have the UR, but I do have an SBR'ed CR. My biggest complaint about it is that in the five years or so that I've owned it, I have gotten to the point where any standard length AK (as well as most other full sized long guns) feel and look awkward/clumsy to me now. I don't know why, but I can't bring myself to want another 16+ inch barreled rifle. As a result, I have traded away all of the other rifles I owned with the exception of those I inherited from my dad.

Unless you plan to start a collection SBR's while losing interest in all of your other toys... Proceed carefully.

Then again, I've never cared for any pistols with a barrel longer than about 4 and a quarter inches, so maybe it's just me.

This man speaks the truth! After my first AK sbr, I have bought nothing but more sbrs and bullpups, except for a SAM7UF just because.

My 107ur is my go to rifle, a travelling companion, and all around favorite rifle. Get one, sbr it, you won't regret it! It's tiny, extremely light, and packs a wallop.

You are absolutely right about that Bruddah! I love SBR's.. Short barreled rifles are so attractive. Especially the UR's!

Put that new UR on layaway @ K-Var.
It will be held for you while everyone is jumping on the inventory.
You have 90 days to finish paying it off.

Get it indyk! Remember they where fetching $1700-2k before arsenal brought them back! I am disappointed with the lame receiver dimples and 4 year old faded labeling on their new rifles but for under $1300 for a new 107ur I would just do it.!

Congrats man! You're well on your way to becoming spoiled beyond belief. Seriously though, spend some quality time with all of your full size rifles while you wait. You will likely lose interest in them once you get that SBR. I not only don't miss mine, but I just can't get excited about any new ones either. I'm about to figure out a way to snap up an M1 Garand and am hoping that will help me get over my fixation on shorter rifles. If not, nothing ever will.

Oh yeah!! Let me give you a preview of your Plum SLR107UR after you SBR it. As what AK-104 mentioned, SBR's are much more fun to shoot than the full length AK's.

My SLR107UR

I like it! I also have one installed on my M92. Brake does a good job controlling with muzzle.
