Default Underfolder cheek rest

Hi, did anyone tried this cheek rest on Sam7UF? Anything else besides paracord or tape you might suggest to improve this stock? Thanks!

I used the tennis racket padded rubber tape type stuff. Just wrapped it tightly around the arm of the stock. Takes the bite out of it, and is minimally invasive.

I have a larger listing in the Market Place, but you can see from these pictures if this is something you think would serve your purpose.

How do I install this leather wrap also how snug it is on stock? Black one looks not bad.

The leather has holes punched along the underside. It comes with lace so you can tie it on with. If your really serious about “snugness”, with leather you can wet-mold it to the stock.

I don't use one on mine, but I think this one is the most attractive aesthetically to me. https://www.google.com/search?ie=UTF...lvgzdVDRtWkAM:

The problem with that thing is one has to remove it in order to fold the stock.
To me that make it worthless.

Go with the Samson, it works. Stays on solid and won't slip around.

That, and there's no way to stow it on the rifle when the buttstock is folded.

OTOH, I've gotta admit it makes shooting an underfolder a lot nicer.

I have one, its ok on my NPAP. Paracord or the leather wraps are just as nice.

I found paracord to be uncomfortable in shooting. It works for awhile but bad knots can make the coils slip around. It also holds water/dirt/sweat which grinds on your face (even through my beard! The warped coils also pull beard hairs out!) It was to find a better way that led me to start making the leather stock wraps. I found them a lot more comfortable and so did my buddies. Hence - shared them with the forum.

I prefer just the bare metal. At -20 degrees you get some awesome cheek weld.

You should lick it first, really get some check weld then!

Hahahah, good one.

I wrapped a piece of leather around, then paracord over that. Its a little thick, but comfortable. I do like the Samson option as well.

All depends on what you are after. The Sampson only raises you cheek weld. It does not allow a check weld directly in the line of your sights. Matter of fact, it tends off set it even more. To me, that is worthless.

Yes, our part needs to be removed to fold the stock. So, we designed it to not require tools to do so. Furthermore, folks will typically also remove their magazine to stow the rifle as well.

I understand you defending your product but it negates the whole concept of the Underfolder. If one is going to use your product one is far better off not going with the underfolder in the first place. Just go with the fixed stock Rifle.

I will say this if someone has the underfolder and hates it then the Echo 9 may be the answer for them.

And that is one of the many reason we make them and probably the reason that Definitive makes this........

Your product makes more sense than that. I say if one has the UF and hates it then sell it.

Some may not have that luxury. Or, perhaps a sentiment attachment to it and want to make more friendly to shoot.

Its awesome there are all these options, huh?

Dip the leather in water. “Dip” NOT soak. Dip a few seconds. Then place the wrap on the stock and lace it up. While still wet, run you fingers sling the wrap to ‘press’ it into the grooves of the stock. It will start to take the form if the stock. One you gave it “molded” how you like, just let it dry. Once it dries, it will be harder and in that shape. Don’t take it off the stock. Let use soften it up some.

Ordered black leather one from ^, very patiently waiting for it for 10 days already.
