Default Gun Broker!

Gunbroker

Its no secret that we list products on Gun Broker. While some of our customers have complained about us doing so, others have understood. People have the right to complain just as we reserve the right to take advantage of a free market economy.

With that being said. You may have noticed some of the items that weve listed are extremely rare. A while back we listed an SLR105-61 (SLR-104CR - Stamped receiver, 5.45x39 caliber, fixed stock) that was a one of a kind rifle. Currently we have an AK-104 listed that was imported by Arsenal for the making of Die Hard, A Good Day to Die Hard. We will continue to list products on Gun Broker and many of these products will be items that are were once set aside for another project. At one time there were plans to develop a Kalashnikov Museum here in the Las Vegas Valley. Those plans have recently been changed and we will be placing some of those items up for auction along with other products that K-Var Corp. chooses to list. We will be posting some of the items here for those that may be interested.

We hope to not only advertise the listings here but to open up discussions about the product and answer questions that you may have.

I'm curious about the FS/GB combo you have on that Saiga AK-104. By looking at the photos that K-VAR posted in GunBroker, the FS/GB combo on that AK-104 looks more like a Bulgarian FS/GB combo from the Bulgarian SLR CR series. It does not appear to look like the Russian FS/GB combo found in the AK-104/AK-105 rifles.

If you look a the photo below, the FS/GB combo on the right is the actual Russian AK-104/AK-105 FS/GB combo vs. the one on the left, which is the Bulgarian CR FS/GB combo. Several differences between the two. That FS/GB combo in the AK-104 photo that K-VAR has in GunBroker looks like the one on the LEFT (Bulgarian FS/GB combo).

The give away is the SQUARE space in between . The Russian FS/GB combo has a SMALLER square vs. the Bulgarian FS/GB combo having more of a RECTANGULAR shape. Again, the AK-104's FS/GB combo that K-VAR listed in GunBroker has more of the "Rectangular" shape consistent with the Bulgarian FS/GB combo.

"KrinkCliff," Can you verify this?

Sure, that’s a good question. I’ll go in and take a look at it shortly and post a pic.

Yeah, with the bid currently at $3300, you’d expect for a rifle to be 100% all authentic Russian parts like the SVD or Tiger.

I wonder if Arsenal NV installed the Bulgy FS/GB combo themselves and engraved AK-104 to replicate the actual Russian AK-104 rifle.

This rifle was manufactured in 2005 and has a free float firing pin. I'm not going to lie I was tempted to pick this one up myself. It's a sweet piece.

I don't think I'll get a straight up answer from Arsenal NV.

Thanks for responding to my questions "KrinkCliff." That AK-104 even with the Bulgarian FS/GB combo is still a beautiful rifle.

[QUOTE=islandfocus2;4358531]Yeah, the photo that you provided above (FS/GB combo of the AK-104 in GunBroker) is a Bulgarian FS/GB

Reminds me when a fella boasts about his complete all matching Russian SGL 2O, And then I had to tell em its wearing a Bulgarian Front site.

Jaws are dropped and disappointment sets in fast but, then its all better when he realized he got lucky being able to buy it anyway.

I know one thing if QQ has slipped in the past 9 years over there, this 1230.00 UR I hope better be cream and not a canted mess.

No, but out of the 4 I've seen on GB since Aug/Sept 3 of which were either KVAR or the other vendor close to KVAR, all were basically Russian on the back 1/2 for the most part and the 107CR on the front 1/2. Its the Movie provenance that draws most to that particular model IMO.

Don't get me wrong, I've bid on a couple, all exceeded 3K though. I'd much rather have the authenticity of a correct build or one that was actually in the movie with documentation.

Earlier posts on this board indicated there were in the neighborhood of 12-15 of these imported specifically for the movie. I've seen 6 different serial numbers in recent auctions, 2 members on this board also claim to own one from past posts so that only leaves a couple left other than the ones used in the movie if the rumored 12-15 number is correct. Who knows actually.

Maybe w/the NV Museum of fine AK art not taking shape KVAR can take a look at my signature line!

iv'e seen that before with their special models, years ago they offered some some "Russian" AKSU's, they had saiga receivers but most of the gun was Bulgarian parts.
