Default crazy kurd gun fight

Not usually a fan of the funker videos but this one was crazy as fuck. It's pretty heavy but it shows how well the AK can do it's job. Goes to show you don't need a bunch of tactical bullshit to get the job done. https://www.funker530.com/gopro-clos...rs-ambush-sc1/

This is what happens when you have 0 situational awareness (turk soldiers) and a high hilltop ambush.

I didn't watch the video, but have nothing but praise for Kurds. They're bad-ass fighters, fearless, genuinely nice guys who absolutely despise Arabs. What's not to like?

Did we watch the same video? There was someone filming on another hill while two guys ambushed a squad coming up a hill. They killed 5 and took their belt fed.

Someone mentioned it before but it makes sense:
It seems these Turks were headed back to an OP they had been to previously, the Kurds had watched them come and go and set an ambush, violence of action led to a quick body count on the Turks who were too used to the routine to do route security

Yeah, ive been there before . Not in same situation but hiking up a mountain side with 75-80 lbs of gear is no fucking joke.

That first guy who got smoked, you can tell he was exhausted, kinda felt bad for him.

Glad the deer never shot back thou......

Intense video.

Don't conventional military operations try to do this at night when feasible, using critical night vision gear, preferring moonless nights?

In some books I've read which were written by Spec Ops guys (i.e. "No Easy Day": Mark Owen, Page 122), some missions were planned to avoid any daylight exposure.

This is a prime example of Insurgency 101.

The insurgents attacked when their enemy was weak, complacent, and didn't expect an attack. The insurgents attacked on their terms when victory was nearly 100% guaranteed.

Despite being outnumbered 5:2 and outgunned by more "sophisticated" weapons including a PKM, the insurgents easily won without any casualties. They also looted a significant amount of weaponry.

Politics and feelings aside, this is a textbook example of how the second amendment is still relevant today despite how many leftists would tell us "you can't fight against drones"

"you can't fight against drones"

I was thinking this would be perfect for a drone. A drone would've alerted the Turks to the presence of the Kurds. The Turks seemed slow & not prepared for CQB. A lot like those Dallas cops who got nailed by that guy with the sks.

I noticed a lot of hits and the targets were still moving initially.

The body armor the Turks were wearing seemed to do a decent job at stemming AKM rounds.

To my eyes, it seems as if the grenade tossed by the Kurd fighter did a lot of damage..

Some bad soldiering will get you killed.

We had a squad of 12 get near ambushed in Haiti from a rooftop. Like 20 feet away while moving down a street with high walls and basically no cover. A very good killzone. The squad reacted masterfully with their training and reacted with such a massive base of fire with 3 M249’s going off at cyclic to gain fire superiority. No Marine was wounded and the bad guys got their brains blown out on that rooftop. That was a wild night I’ll never forget. Violence of action, initiative, and basic immediate action with proper formation can really save your life when your in some bad shit.

my browser messed up and I only caught the first part where it was basically a guy hiding behind some rocks and popped up and took the first guy . Recycled the page and got the whole thing. In a war zone lack of situational awareness is a recipe for death. It did seem to me that the body armor slowed the ambush but the Turks did not seem to have the will to fight, Grenades and surprise probably had something to do with that . Gotta hand it to the Kurds after the initial ambush, advancing on a position under fire always takes guts . All in all its a grim reminder that war is hell and never to be desired except by fools

“An ar 15 won’t protect you from a tank or drones. If the government wants your guns they can take them anytime.”

The guys were sucking and looking down when they got torn up. They were almost up top. Usually ambushes don’t happen like that. The Turks were probably wearing too much shit and being assholes in the area which pissed the Kurds off.

That's very possible. Being an asshole to the civilian populace can get you killed.

My Kurdish terps thought very little of Turks. They told me that as kids growing up, Turkish soldiers would roll into town, drag them out of their homes and beat their asses just for the fun of it.

They were likewise terrified of American soldiers initially.

Whenever me and my guys went outside the wire, we stuffed our cargo pockets full of stuffed animals and candy. Kids loved us. Parents did too - even the asshole parents.

That’s crazy. Yeah I have noticed a lot of shit going on in Turkey lately.

Yes, all it would take is riding around in humvees, yelling a lot, pissing everywhere in front of people, not hooking up the locals with water bottles, and slamming shit in the humvee while acting like Conan the Barbarian meets Shrek to catch a nice locally placed EFP built with love right outside the JSS front gate.

That was actually a decent video. A lot of people tend to take the Kurds side vs most of the Arabs and Turks.
