Looks like a N-PAP.

I don't see a bulged trunnion.

Just going by what they say on the site, kinda wondered about that, but in the description it does say an RPK receiver. I'll IM Tuna and ask him.

If the pic's accurate, that's an N-PAP. The lack of bulged trunnion, the cut-out in the safety lever, and the furniture are all indicative of that.

Yep, they either got the wrong pics or the wrong verbage, asking about it now on another forum.

ETA: Purty rifle either way, kinda want, but just can't roll with the non-chrome-lined barrel.

Well, if you plan on shooting corrosive ammo, you certainly would be better off with a chrome-lined barrel, however, the 7.62x39 ammo we are buying today is not corrosive like it was years ago.

Some 'experts' will tell you a non-chrome-lined barrel is more accurate, and the heavier O-PAP barrel is in itself more accurate that the standard AKM barrel found in most other AK47 manufacturers guns, so in this situation, the O-PAP barrel becomes a win-win deal.

Clean the gun once in awhile like you would do with any other nice gun you own, and a non chrome-lined barrel becomes a non-issue.

But, your the one spending your own hard-earned $$$

Problem is, not quite rich enough to be a collector, or i'd certainly order one. But for now, AK will need to serve as the zombie-clypse rifle as well as my hunting companion and fun range toy.

Now i'm not a tin-foil hatter, and chances are very small it would happen, and even if the SHTF i'm into disappearing quietly, not looking for fights....but....if I did have to stand up and fight, no way i'm rolling with no chrome...several combat vets from several different eras have told me there's a whole lotta dead guys scattered from the jungles of southeast Asia to the sands of Iraq, that wish they would have insisted on chrome-lined barrels.

it is a known fact that more people die annually from chrome-lined deficit(!) than any other firearms-related deaths

also lack of chrome-lined barrels had led to inequality, social injustice, separatism, civil unrest and even resulted in wars in Iraq and countries of former Yugoslavia

so buy Romanian or Bulgarian

my other papm70 is a very accurate and reliable shooter. Only draw back is it came with poly thumb hole stock and no optic side mount. This one is set up the way I want with wood furniture and side mount. Free shipping to boot!

Who's dead? I'm pretty sure any communist country in Southeast Asia would've fielded chrome lined AKs?

That hasn't been an issue with the recent N-PAPs that come in.
