Norinco kid. It supposed to take standard ak furniture, which would leave me to believe that the mag well adapter is separate from the handguard. Which appears not so from the pic.

the grip looks odd! Almost like it has a shelf in the receiver.

I just handed one of these at my local fun store, very nicely built.
The barrel isn't threaded, it measures .550 ish, was in a hurry sorry. The mag adapter is separate from the hand guard , the lower HG is molded so it looks like one piece.
I'm not sure what the plastic shelf is in the receiver, kinda odd, no type of buffer assembly unless that's what that plastic shelf is.
Single wire hammer spring. Bolt on shell ejector , bolts to the rail and sits 1/8" higher a there abouts. Top cover seems very sturdy. The pistol grip is odd but comfortable, no problem changing it if you want. The mag adapter clips in with the mag catch from what I could see. It's angled for the Berretta mags, you probably get a new one for the Glock mags.

One more thing, if you have it in your hand, don't set it down....someone else will buy it!
That's what happened to me. LOL
$475 in my AO.

So who's going to make an mp5 adapter for it?

The AK style mag release actually releases the handguard assembly. It holds the Berretta mag adapter and will (eventually) hold the Glock adapter. Here are some pics with the handguard removed (and no, AK mags don't fit in the receiver well):

The plastic piece Sneakers mentioned is called a buffer in the manual and a "receiver cover" in the parts list.

I'll be shooting it Sunday. I'll let you know how it goes. So far, I really like it in a range toy kind of way.

Sorry for the shitty pictures. My phone sucks and that's the best I can do right now. I'm available for weddings, but only if she's ugly.

Seems like a good enough design to me. Couple questions though...

The RSB, do the two large screws on either side remove that section of rail to reveal a standard RSB?

Is the grip standard AK gear? The little shelf at the top is throwing me off.

Top cover on your seem pretty tight (for holding zero with an RDS?

Thanks for the pics!

No standard RSB. There is a hole where the end of the fake piston sticks out.

I haven't taken it apart yet, but it looks like it will accept a standard AK grip...I'll check it out Sunday. The shelf you mentioned wraps around both sides of the receiver. It has what seems to be a standard AK screw and grip base.

The cover is very tight and very solid. It's hinged at front.

So the HG is actually attached to the mag well?
If that's the case I misspoke and apologize, it looked like they separated.
I'm very anxious to hear a range report.
I think I ordered one from my dealer, I couldn't help it.....the words just popped out of my mouth. That's what got me married, I need to work on that.

I missed that in his description. So, I couldn't ditch that funky plastic and come up with something else more akin to a Micro Draco? I was under the impression the mag well and handguard were two separate pieces.

The handguard actually holds the Berretta mag adapter which feeds through the receiver well, so you weren't really wrong.

My guess is that something could be fabricated to fit the well in the bottom of the receiver, but that is way beyond me.

Just got back from the range. It was pretty much a functionality test. I shot 99 rounds of Wally World White Box FMJ 115gr and 50 rounds of Wolf Steel case. I was using OEM Berretta 17-rd mags instead of the 10-rd that come with the AK9.

First the bad:
1. On the first mag, the trigger failed to reset twice and I had to push it forward to reset. I did a quick inspection and lube before taking it out, but did not do a thorough cleaning. Other than that, the trigger is pretty smooth and not too heavy. I don't have anything to measure pull weight.
2. I had two rounds of the WWB ammo fail to fire. I ejected them and there appeared to be no primer strike. When I re-fed them, they both fired.
3. Minor thing, sights were off high and right by about 4 inches at 25m, but zeroed fine so not an issue; just mentioning.
4. Design issue; on one of my mag swaps I instinctively hit the "AK mag release" instead of the mag well release. The AK release releases the plastic handguard/mag well assembly. It just pops right back on and is held solid, but this could be a problem in non-range circumstances.

The good:
1. Groups were good @ 25m firing freehand. Not much worse than I do with my go to pistols.
2. The problems I listed above didn't reoccur after the fist mag, even with the same mag later. The failures to fire may have been the shitty WWB ammo. There was one round in the box with the case peeled off of the projectile on one side. No problems of any kind with the Wolf.
3. Comfortable to shoot with virtually no recoil, but this was expected with a 6-pound "pistol"
4. Built like a tank, except for the AK mag release issue.

Bottom line: Fun range toy. Better than expected. I'd buy it again, knowing what I know now for the price I paid ($420 shipped), but wouldn't go much higher. I wouldn't recommend it as a home defense weapon. I'll update over the next few hundred rounds if anyone cares.

I had a hard time finding one. There were a couple on GunBroker yesterday. If you see the Glock mag adapter, please let me know.

I had the same trigger reset issue on my pap85 pistol. Once it was replaced with a tapo G2 trigger, I was gtg.

Mine arrived today, and would agree, built like a tank. Nothing rattles or feels cheap. Even the not so aesthetically pleasing handguard is a solid design. Excited to get it to the range and test it out!

More pics in the Facebook album I created, if interested: https://www.facebook.com/IntoWeapons...30933600265926

The internals seem to be a scaled up version of the Romy AK .22
The shelf is the buffer just like the AK.22

Thanks for the clarification Blua_Hammer.
Wish someone would put up some type of a range review, nothing but crickets since they appeared on the files.......or I missed it?

+1. I just want to know if I could replace that God awful handguard without losing the magwell, seems like that should be pretty easy to figure out.

Finally got a chance to take a closer look at this pistol and put together a video. Unfortunately the range footage at the end was all I could manage before it broke

Did the paint bubble?

ETA: All joking aside, what is the over all length of this pistol?

The cugir factory should be making more wasrs and not this. Honestly the only 9mm carbine, smg, whatever you wanna call it that I care about is gonna be the MP5. But I'd much rather would want like an MP7 pistol or something. The MP5 in 10mm would be sick too.

I like that its Romy made, but its just too damn ugly for me... Even for that price.

I LOVE the Bizon, and just wish Kalash USA would bring theirs to market.

In the mean time, I will just enjoy my Scorpion Evo and MP5...
