Funny because ever sense Sandy Hook, prices have been going up steadily, and never came back down. Yes, people who brought up, horded, or price gauged prices came back down, but prices have gone up in general across the board locally and online. If you're holding out for 3-5 cents a round 22lr and $300-$400 AKs to come back, then you'll be waiting a loooong time. If Hilary gets elected, you're going to be wishing you brought at these prices when you had a chance the the availability was somewhat plentiful...

I get that you are butt hurt. What you posted about Anthony Industries is flatly wrong. You said they have a BBB rating of F. They do not. It is A.

You dont know what you are talking about
Thats just being polite.

IZ-240L rifles were $799 (I have a receipt)
223 ammo was $1 a round (receipt also)
Select AR15s were 4-5x the price they are today.

I can prove it via gunbroker sales of Colt LE6920 completed sales

I agree that prices today are lower than what they used to be and by alot.
Back in 1989 i bought my first AR15, a Colt A2 for just a touch under $900.
Fast forward to today, prices after Sandy went down. I bought my 1st Ruger AR556 for $556 then 2 months later i bought a 2nd one for even less, $549.
Just yesterday i picked up some 22 ammo from Cabellas at 6.1 cents a round. Right after Sandy hook, they were more than 10 cents a round.
M855 ammo now could be had for .32 a pop, it was atleast 10 cents more after SH.

AK prices came back down? The price of 22lr, 9mm, 40s&w, 45acp have come back down? What about Mosins? Can they still be found for $50-$100 in good condition? When were AR15s 4-5x the price they are today and when was 223 $1 a round across the board and not just with gougers? I purchased my BCM AK and 2000k of 5.56 from my local Gunshop right before the ruling on the gun ban came back, and I didn't pay 4-5x the price for anything. I was in the market for ARs and ammo at that time, so I distinctly remember what the prices were. In any event, ARs and their components are just about the only rifles that may have lowered in price because the market is saturated and there's a lot of competition between companies. When it comes to most everything else, prices have been study rising, and I do not see them going back down.

What was the price of 22lr before Sandy Hook and has it gone up and stayed up since then? What were the prices of AKs and everything else? I'm yes, prices have come back down from the time right after SH spike, but my point is that from the time right BEFORE Sandy hook until today, not including the SH spike, prices are generally higher and have been slowly going up. ARs might be the only exception to to rule that I can think of.

This is labor day weekend, below are examples of how pricing is stacking up by the beginning of September, 2016. You will notice that prices will vary greatly from vendor to vendor with the RAS47 being listed on the first page of this thread for $550 just a few days ago. Shopping around for the best prices is an absolute must if you wish to get the best value possible. As should come to nobody as a surpris, AR15's are plentiful in supply with great pricing. The exact opposite appears to be true with AK rifles, with only the American models available in plentiful supply with prices that are subject to criticism.

Classicfirearms - IO M247T Premium Grade Rifle - $599

Classicfirearms - RAS47 - $799

Centerfiresystems - WASR10 - $750

Aimsurplus - RAS47 w/Magpul Furniture - $700

Aimsurplus - Milled DDI - $1,079

I post facts, not conjecture
I will back it up with evidence of GunBroker completed sales also. There is an AK Files member
who sold his Colt LE6920 in March 2013 for $3300 to back that up also. Early 2016 prices were $780.

Several other weapon sales graphs included in this article.
http://www.thetruthaboutguns.com/201...eat-awb-panic/

Before you even attempt an argument that graph is exclusive to AR's
I bought an IZ-240L the summer after Sandy Hook for $799.

I scored many more in 2016 2nd quarter for $550, and then Fleet Farm had them for $450 mid 2016 also.
https://www.slickguns.com/product/sa...997-store-only

Like I said, you clearly are not prepared to argue this, so just sit back and read and learn.

As long as the suckers pay the high AK $$$ prices nothing will change ! What a great time to be in the firearms business. To many young people with no idea of value . But to much credit card high limits . Anyone want to pay $60 for Bakelite mags ???

I was in my fav pawn shop today which usually has 4-7 AK's on the wall, but today none. But plenty of AR's and I mean plenty. Manager told me everyone now wants a AK.

WASR 10/63 was assembled with "on hand" surplus parts. Many had Romanian laminate furniture with the trap door stock.
WASR 10 is all new parts and stock set I'm told is American and w/o trap door.

WASR10 = Sporter rifle from new parts.

WASR 10/63 = Parts from demilled Romanian forces rifles @ Cugir War Factory re-assembled as semi-auto rifles and resold.

FWIW The Battlefield Vegas best running rifles are the WASR 10/63's.

There was MORE to this but I can't recall off the top of my head, but the 10/63 was more desirable for another reason.

I asked about these rifles here on the forum and people were saying not really good barrels. But for 500 bucks I mean if you can get 10k rounds of the barrel I'd call that a win. I love the muzzle brake on them suckers.

Really.

Is this POS barrel going to start keyholing on the first box, or 5k or 50k? Go limp sitting in the safe?

I see the post now complaining about prices and dealers being to high. Basically everything your looking at now is a good deal. I guarantee you if the THING wins the election prices will be doubled on the morning after along with mags and ammo if you can find them. Better get what you want now.

Yeah i'm taking a chance. Have plenty of nice aks and this thing is cheap so if the barrel doesn't last as long as a combloc barrel, no big deal. Will be one of my beater aks. I might even get another if this one shoots ok.

Thanks for the tip, ordered mine right after I read this. Been wanting a AM63 for awhile and the price drop and low cost shipping sealed the deal for me. If the barrel presents problems, out it comes.

I'll "refine" this commie gun and post photos in a few weeks.

http://www.clearviewinvest.com/amd65.aspx Nice wood sets, grips, and Hungarian mags here.

The best running rifles at Battlefield Vegas are NOT WASR's.

Ron from Battlefield Vegas reports that every type of stamped receiver AK (including the WASR) has suffered cracked trunnions. The only AK's that have not suffered cracked trunnions are the Chinese and Bulgarian milled receiver AKs.
