I don't like either pricing.

Prices are in a downward trend. Why pay the old elevated prices? I'll wait for rest of market to catch up to $5xx WASRs or lower.

Now there $495.

These rifles are not worth close to what there selling for because of people's perceived need for them.
It's about mentality of buying a beanie babbys for $700

Sure people paid that much for a $5 item.
Now what are they worth?

Other than AR,S that are over saturated right now I would not buy any assualt style weapon right now.

If restrictions are relaxed there might be much lower prices
I won't hold my breath but it's possable.

AKs are the in thing right now about like Harelys with 12" wide back tires were 10 years ago.

ARs are probably close to their low. Already seeing decent ARs for $4xx. Not much room to the downside there. But might see the brands that have sold at elevated prices due to their name drop more in the future.

For import AKs, if the dollar keeps staying strong or gets stronger (seen as a safe haven in time of economic uncertainty) we could see import prices get cheaper as deflation sets in around the world. Those that have what they need and want to wait for deals best stay patient, stay liquid and keep your powder dry. Good deals are just beginning.

Black Friday sucked. Seems the dealers are content sitting on inventory because people are still buying at inflated prices. Hopefully the idiots run out of $ soon

Looking to pick up a Daniel Defense AR but not seeing any price drop on those , yet. Hoping to see some downward adjustment on them in the next few months.

The BATFE is not part of the Treasury Dept. In 2002 it was placed under the Dept. of Justice. by pres. George W. Busch

Regarding the entire AR market as a whole, prices didn't go up much at all except niche items like 6920's

Did you see prices go up much on the DD rifles in 2016 vs 2015 ??

Not I. Looked like they had flatlined. But the market is saturated with ARs and without the threat of 44 doing something we should see I dip. And we'll probably be seeing several of the small companies (builders) going under.

No, but they are pretty pricey items in the first place. Plus expected potential drop in demand should bring their prices down a bit. I would consider DD a niche play as well.

Give it time. Used market is already coming down. Civilian demand just won't be the same.

I don't know anything either, but I think their prices will stay the same as well. Whether it's perception or reality, many people will pay the extra for the name and/or the extra QC in each rifle and they're aware of this. Their niche in the market is different than the $500-700 AR market.

That's what I'm thinking. I'm in no rush to buy anything right now. When february rolls around and nobody is buying anything because they're busy paying Christmas cc bills off, we should see some downward price movement. Seeing PAP m92's for under $500 for the first time in a while, wouldn't be surprised to see them at around 4 bills in a few months.

Think you hit it right on.
After January anything firearm related will not sale much, as people already maxed out on christmas. Not even taking into account all the guys that bought hundreds of mags trying to offload them everywhere.

Whether it was spent on a new car, house, vacation, gifts, there stuck not being able to buy anything for a few months.

Paid $520 OTD today for a NIB wasr 10/63. Straight sites, good rivets, 1967 trunion. No box, no sling and missing cleaning rod. Who cares. Works for me.

Edit: Included Magpul furniture. I added a cleaning rod to make it look complete and a flash hider.

I sold two 2016 production WASRs on GB for $575 shipped last week. After January, these should come down to the $500-550 range everywhere.

I wont be holding my breath for cheap AK's.....

Cheap these days, and future days.....will probably be 500.00 range.....closer to 600.00.....

I hope I am wrong, but....time will tell.

Hell I might be wishful in my estimates, might just be stuck in the 600.00 range.

I think the $600 range is pretty good.
Smith and Ruger ar's are in the high 500s so I would be perfectly fine with lower $600 for wasrs. I mean they are imports. You see what these US manufacturers like ddi and psa are charging.

Local gun store. Someone made a Hilary purchase looking to flip for profit. Then sold back to store at a loss. My gain. 👍

Great spot on post.

However, AK importz are debilitated heavily at the moment and demand is higher
I agree ARs are the best option right now due to over saturation.

They didn't do themselves any favors when they jacked the price up to the $700's after advertising $629.95. I'm sure consumers will remember that down the road.
