Default Found an Arsenal SGL20!

I found this one yesterday, it's a 2008 production Arsenal (Saiga Legion) SGL20 I initially mistook for an SGL21 at first glance, this one doesn't have the grenade launcher lug, whereas the SGL21 does...Rifle appears to be in great, low use condition, very happy that I found it.

Yes, I did buy it, and agreed to pay $900.

I took the photos in the store, I always do before I buy, or put it on lay-a-way in this case, as kind of a before and after or motivation for paying it off ASAP.

Thanks! I felt like it was, no idea what these are going for currently, but, seemed like a great option being about the same price as the new SLR107 that is never in stock.

I read these have the AK103 style bolt in them, what does one do about getting spare bolt parts like extractors, firing pins, etc?

Nice score!! other than the shaved grenade launches lug, the SGL20 also has a Bulgarian FSB because Arsenal of Nevada couldn't get the Russian part at the time they brought them in to the country.

Odd part is this one has a Russian front sight post, or so I was told by several more familiar with these than myself...apparently most had Bulgarian and some had Russian.

The AK 74 extractor and firing pin will work in your saiga bolt. I had been selling some NOS Russian ones for the last couple months but sold out a couple weeks ago. I think there is another member here selling the "bolt kit". Ext, FP, FP retainer, Ext retainer and Ext spring. Check in the MP for his ad.

I'm very happy with it, I was a little disappointed it was an SGL20 instead of a SGL21 like I thought it was in the store, but, from what I've read on it since it's essentially the same rifle minus the accessory lug...so it should be a phenomenal quality shooter.

I'll check it out, thanks for the heads up! I'll try to find another AK103 style bolt if possible as well.

Nice score! What store did you find this at and where at in AL? Never seemed to find much of anything cool when I lived there. Maybe I'm just jinxed. Haha

OP, that’s a very nice find indeed! That looks mint in the pictures!

I hope to find a nice SGL one day, for now I’m finishing up a Saiga conversion 7.62x39 and hoping to get a Saiga in .223 very soon.

Finally got the SGL20 out of lay-a-way and cleaned up, wish it had been an SGL21, but, oh well...I might be more a fan of it than my Chicom stuff now, super crisp action, just absolutely reeks of quality from one end to the other...Best purchase of last year for sure. This week hasn't been bad either, scored a cheap Saiga IZ-132 to make into a sidefolder project and a 7 56S 7 marked transitional preban...this week has been pretty good as far as AKM's go.

Does seem there are a couple members who always find smoking deals.
I never see anything but US junk at all the LGS.
