Default GP WASR 10/63KR info ? Pic is up

I just bid on one of these on GB and won it ....Any known issues with these ? It looks to be the easiest Romanian to SBR to me. I will put on the correct furniture to make it as correct as possible even though its built on a non-dimpled receiver.

This is now....

Nice score. I don't have any experience with one but I wouldn't think reliability would be any different than a WASR or a Draco. Does it have a standard length gas system and I wonder if you could find one of those gas blocks and convert a standard WASR to that configuration?

Closest current production rifle would be the RH10. It lacks the folder, but the rest is the same. I have one, runs great and looks interesting.

Are you saying the rh10 has a factory 12" barrel ?

Misha has one and really likes his.

He shoots it in this vid at the 1:33 mark.

I think they're good guns, basically like Dracos on non dimpled recievers so they oughta run well.

The WASR10/63KR has a shortened gas tube and piston, but still takes standard furniture.

Its a Draco frontend put onto a WASR receiver, and with a 4" extension welded onto the barrel.

It does if you have a hacksaw

Why?

It has a 12.5" barrel and if you put a brake or flash hider on it, it'll increase to 14".

So you'd only be saving a couple inches.
I'd just hang onto it and enjoy it the way it is.

The M92PV is a better canadate for SBRing in my opinion.

I see your point ,but its still 4 inches shorter than a 16" barrel with a 2" device which comes in at 18". I have one of those as well....

Update on this ......pic up . I picked up this rifle today, it shows almost no bolt wear or hammer wear. Smooth action, overall a nice example .

Do you plan to fire it ? Curious if the long muzzle device makes any ping when fired. Mine is new in box so haven't decided whether to break it's cherry. Happy for you that it's in great condition !

I picked up an rpk sight for the rear sight. Another neat thing about these if made into a sbr, these have a common scope rail.
