Default Newest SLR-95

Picked this all up last Sunday,4520 rounds white box 8HP in two 40mm cans and mags... Pre Divorce Sale for $1550.00 so I figured why not buy it...

Muzzle nut,not sure if this was the pinned version and threaded or the other version... cleaning kit and rod included,6 mag pouch... 5 mags are East German and the others unsure about...

Looks to be the threaded version, the pinned persions have a 3 port "fishscale" brake

Nice man! Love my new SLR-95 as well. I may just start stocking up on these gems.

AFAIK, there were no "threaded versions" of the SLR-95.
The SLR-95 came with a non-threaded muzzle and the SLR-95MB came with a pinned and welded ("fish scale" brake).
The one in pic could have either been threaded post import, or the pinned brake removed, or replacement FSB (hard to tell by pics).

BTW. Nice find and capture OP!

49er - You apparently did well. The rifle looks much like my own SLR-95, except for the muzzle end. Can't tell what you have in that regard. Mine have the pinned muzzle brake, other wise they look identical to the one you purchased. One thing I did do when they were available is purchase a spare barrel for each - original Steyer hammer forged Bulgarian SLR-95 barrels. Since I doubt I have fired 10 rounds out of both combined, then it will be awhile before the barrels wear out. It is said that they have very excellent accuracy although I have not range tested mine yet - that may happen during the coming year. Yours looks almost like the FSB sight combo at first glance. The SLR-95 barrels are normally not threaded but stepped to accept a slip on and pinned front sight or front sight/ threaded combo type which accepts the AK-74 " type" cylinder compensator, brake.
Really fine rifle and great deal as far as a purchase.

I already own 2 SLR-95s before this purchase and have not range tested them. 1 was used slightly but came with 6 flatback 30 round mags,it also has a side mount for scopes added on but a well done job by a gunsmith for $800 and the other new in box for $900 so when I saw this deal I just had to buy... this new rifle also has a cover with a rail for a scope, cover has set screws and seems very tight, will have to see how it all works, will it stay zeroed ect... the previous owner said he got rid of the brake due to noise levels which I find ironic cuz he said it was only fired a 100 times and by wear marks he was not fooling,I assume he threaded it by comments made on this post by others as I am new to the AK knowledge arena, only had AKs for a couple of years...

So do you have the original top cover for this one? Milled top cover with serial number matching the rifle?

The brake was not included though... I must admit the less noise without the brake is nice but have to see how well it shoots...
