Default Polish Wbp cg1 side rail slant

Hello all,
For those with a Polish wbp CG1 with a childers receiver. Im noticing a slant to the side rail, the part of the rail closest to the rear trunnion sits higher than the side closest to the barrel. Is this normal?

Also, is this the typical rail that youd find on most aks? I know there is nothing typical about aks, but basically would it be the same rail youd find on a wasr or arsenal?

Yes, and yes. Styling may be a little different than a WASR or Bulgarian, but works all the same.

Just checking but measured from where to where? Top rail down to mount? Or bottom of receiver to mount?

It could very well be an illusion due to the dustcover. I have a feeling that it is a non issue. I have seen a canted side rail though. I had a wasr 10/63 that was a great rifle except that optics weren't an option. The rail was tilted down so far that a scope or 30mm red dot would touch the dustcover.

The side rail to receiver alignment isn't whats important, its the side rial to barrel alignment that matters. Because the side rail is riveted to the receiver, there will never be 100 percent alignment. Like the general rule of AK iron sights, as long as it zeros, you're good.
