Default Circle 10 Mags vs Magpul Gen 3 mags- Set a betting line

How do they compare? If you had set a line would it be something like:

Circle 10 Mags (-$10) vs Magpul Gen 3 mags

Where would that line be? Are Circle 10 mags $10 better? $20 better?

My ((10)) mags work every time without exception. I haven't even considered a Magpul for my AKs.

The real question is whose destroying the $50 circle (10) mag in the name of "testing" and where's the link ? Most mag tests I have seen they go too easy on the things.

I would bet that the circle (10) is the heavy betting favorite here on the files.
There's a reason why its considered the preeminent poly mag in the 7.62x39 caliber.
It works, its tuff and its time tested. While Magpul has gone through iteration and iteration of AK mag the circle (10) has just been.
But I have never actually used a Magpul AK mag though so I couldn't tell you anything about them or really place a bet.

Com-bloc steel or bakelite FTMFW

I have circle 10's, what got me on the magpuls was the early drop tests where the tops that were metal reinforced started cracking with some minor drops, then I think some rear or front lugs sheared on just doing basic K-var drop tests I believe.

I wouldn't pay more than 30 or 35 for a new circle 10 and not more than 25 for a well used one, and I haven't. It is a possibility magpul has fixed those shortcomings and dialed in there product.

Buy one of each and see what you think. I have been tempted to give the new 74 mags a whirl just to see what's what, polymer can be tough enough as we have seen in the green beryl mags in 5.56

16.99 for G3 magpuls, so I think worth a try.

I bought a couple Magpul Gen 3's a while ago to try out and they function just fine, my main gripe is that they don't have reinforced feed lips. I prefer ((10))'s and don't mind paying for them.

((10))'s work in my CG1, the Magpul Gen 3s will not fit. I've only got a couple of the ((10))'s so the price difference ($30) was not a big deal and worth it to know they work.

The selling point of Bulgarian poly mags vs Steel? Weight savings. But I’ll still take bakelites over circle 10. They fit better in all my AKs whereas the the circle 10 are a little more tight and I’m more prone to fumble the reload.

Magpul M3 I consider high end range mags. I like the steel reinforcements but they are still just range mags.

I grabbed 6 of these a few days ago because they're 17 bucks. If the Circle 10 mags were 16.99 then I'd have bought those instead. But at almost half the price of the Bulgarian ones figured it was good to go. Of course Eastern European steel mags way better, cheaper, etc etc.

And also the fact that if you drop a poly mag they aren't gonna dent.
Drop a metal mag while reloading and you dent the side or bend the feed lips and its over. Dead mag until it can be repaired later.

I'm with you on the price I'd pay for a ((10)) mag. I've been very fortunate and have not paid more than a buck per round so far. And at those prices they're a deal.
