Default 3D Animation of an AK-47

Hey guys, I just wanted to share an animation I put together showing how an AK-47 works. It took me a very long time to make, and I figured you guys would enjoy it!

Thanks!
Matt

I'd guess a lot of guys here do not know how full auto works. Still plenty of tards who think grinding a disco will create full auto.

That was pretty thorough. One critic I have/noticed was the lack of interaction with the bullet guide and the bolt as it starts it's rotation into the front trunnion. This is small, but gives the AK a more fluid appearance. Still better then I could do.

Edit: never mind you nailed it at 0:52-1:03 very enjoyable good job. Any chance of illustrating other mg's

Good work.
The little disclaimer at the end was who's idea?

Thanks haha. Gosh I would honestly love to do more guns, but it's such a big time commitment. We'll see though!

Excellent. This is the best "how it works" AK animation that I have seen.

0:28 says the firing pin punctures the primer. Isn't it bad when that happens?

Haha yeah I think I made a mistake with that particular description. I need to see if I can overlay a more accurate one on YouTube.

This video could work well as an instructional tool.
I can't tell you how many avid "shooters" I talk to that don't fully understand how most semi auto platforms work. Particularly long stroke piston driven systems like the AK.

Excellent video! I helped me to understand how the components on the 3rd axis pin function in all modes of fire; blocking the hammer until the bolt is fully in battery. And how the selector lever blocks the disconnector from engaging in full-auto firing mode. ..........James.

Haha thanks guys!! It really bothers me that I said the firing pin “punctures” the bullet primer now haha. I wanna change it to “strikes” but I don’t think YouTube let’s you replace videos
