Default New Here: Updated with build pic!

Hey everyone, recently signed up to the forums. Just wanted to introduce myself. I am new to AK's and doing my first build of a Polish Beryl clone in 7.62. I live in California, so it will look nothing like a Polish Beryl other than the top cover rail... lol so maybe not a clone, but "inspired by.."

Looking forward to getting some rivets smashed and soaking in some more of the information this site has to offer.

Thanks!

Lots of info and knowledge floating around this digital realm.
Just don't poke the A-holes. For every troll that is elsewhere on the internet there are 2 crotchety rude fellows on here. Funny thing is, most of the time it's them that have the knowledge.
Welcome.

Here's my parts so far for my build. I think I have everything, now to just black dip and parkerize, and squish some rivets.

The receiver is from Matt @ Recreator blanks

So I had to change directions on the furniture for this thing as the Magpul stock would interfere with the rear trunnion due to the lug for the top rail. I guess I could have done some cutting and dremeling, but it would have needed to be extensive.

I decided to go with Polish synthetic furniture for now until I find another option for something else. I am in California so it needs to have a fixed stock, but I am considering down the line either purchasing an authentic Beryl stock and pinning it, or going with an M4 conversion tube so I can use a wide variety of stocks and pin them.

I will keep updating as progress happens. Thanks for the warm welcomes!

OP:

Until you are bitched at, insulted, and MF'd few times on the files that New Member tag will stay highlighted. It has nothing to do with the number of posts.

Almost every post will turn into a bar fight if you mention anything about sexuality, politics, religion and ruin the thread.

Also, continue to build or every new purchase you mention, Arsenal, WBP, WASR, and almost any rifle will be deemed commie junk, overpriced, dumb, stupid, a piece of schitt, not made, or made in the USA.

Never discuss a RAS 47 or C39v2. This will be the last time ai type those letters/numbers in my time here.

Follow RobSki and Mishaco you YouTube and Full30. And buy from them if you can.

But also check out the other topics under Survival, Handgun, General, etc. Lot's of good stuff there too.

Welcome.

You don't have to feed them.
I've seen some of the conversations you've had, CjStatic. Regardless if their statements are correct, incorrect, warranted, or what have you; going back and forth with them like you seem to do does nothing for any thread.

Bakwa:

No, not serious at all.

Although you PM'd me on 2/25 explaining, I still think your screen name is a variant of this style that you practice.

Hah! The Yin family has an interesting version of the practice.
I still must say you're wrong though friend.

Not sure how good your Persian is, but I can't deny perusing the ideals of a warrior in more ways than one.

Cheers

I thought you might appreciate the translation due to the AO proximity noted in your PM.

When I need translations I verify with my friends. Arabic, Urdu, Farsi. Not counting Euro languages.

I have much international experience which can be gained w/o ever leaving CONUS.

My translation based on heritage would be bojevnik.

Stay safe.

Welcome to the addiction. The files are a lot of fun, just sit back and soak it all in. There are some pretty good people on here, and a lot will go the extra mile to help people when they need it. I see that you’re in Indio. Make sure you head east a couple times to pick up Ammo and mags in NV.

Dumping Brass will explained at a future date... the sheep and cosmoline down there are for further rites of passage, so ask no questions and leave Dolly alone.
