Default Our Before & After Review Of The WBP Fox AKM Rifle With Test Firing

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vIevB82npH0&t=4s

Pretty much as the title says. This is our initial review of the WBP Fox AKM style rifle, which is imported by Arms of America and converted by Atlantic Firearms.
Although for ours, we did the conversion.

This is a review and not a preview too. We've had some time with 2 of the Fox rifles so show you how one looks as-imported, and then how it can look after conversion. In our case, we went with a Beryl-M762 clone look, because we snagged an early Beryl side folding stock from RobertRTG awhile back. Also for some comedy, we slapped an early Beryl scope mount on it for the video, because why the hell not?

We talk about what was required to convert the Fox, and then show you the first couple mags ever fired through it at the range. Since that time, we've put a few hundred more rounds down range with the rifle. Maybe not a 5k torture test, but still its something and the rifle never experienced a single stoppage or malfunction.

For more info, checkout the video and be sure to stay til the end as its basically a 17 minute long info dump throughout.

cheers,
Jay & Misha,

What tool did you use to shape the bayo lug?

Do you modify the rear tang to use regular stocks, or the stock itself?

Thanks

Will 922r be triggered If I keep it single stack but fix the bayo lug, thread the stub, add a PG and add surplus furniture?
I think any modification like that with bayonet lug or threads would kick in 922R

Thank you Misha.
Despite my frequent accolades regarding Century had I saved the $500.00 each for my purchases of the Hesse R1A1 and Golani I would be able to purchase the quality apparent in the outstanding WBP offering.

Gotta have a few clunkers I guess.

They avoid Jay I guess. He was recording that day. As to single stack mags, if the mags are in spec, yes they fit and should work. I say it like that because WBP tried out about a dozen Romie 10 rd single stack mags and found them to have a very wide range for tolerances and all that. Unlike the PAC Sporter, the Fox does come in with a fully working magwell. As to getting stocks to fit, you modify the stock to clear the scope mount plate. Its not a big deal. I put a poly stock on my AF WBP Beryl style and all I had to do was machine the sides down about 1/2" with a dremel. It took 10 minutes, and that was going slow and steady.

How hard would it be to install a m4 stock adapter like say the definitive arms one?

Not very hard if you have dremel tool. Estimated work time: 5 minutes or less...:-)
