None of those are mine. Just a few AKs I wish I could get ahold of

A few random old and ultra-old photos of past projects, but still decent eye candy to help the thread along:

And an old "war rug" Afghan shot:

It is a Norinco Type 56S that I modernized.

And by 'modernized' I mean made more practical and user friendly for the driver - me.

Sorry to highjack....we now return you to the original thread.

The RPG-7 wasn't really a project as much as it was a journey to obtain some items for it - rockets, tools, etc. Here's an old photo of a few loose rockets that were put in the photograph that was actually featuring the dropcase (forgive the rocket packs - I've got brown Russian ones that really make a display look more "Russian"):

It's just a 1963-dated Russian RPG-7:

But since this is an AK picture post, I thought I'd throw some more candy out - I can't get enough photos of rifles and other folks' projects.

Some RPK-74 and RPK shots:

(truly forgive the assed-up pistol grip and as-of-yet unworn wood furniture against the worn finish - it's still got some work to be done to smooth the overall look out)

Refinished Russian RPD:

And the mighty Russian PKM which sports a darker brown pistol grip that never made the photos as they're somewhat old:

Great looking guns guys.

Here is my latest build.

I'm still working on getting the scope zeroed, but so far it is a solid shooter.

hiding the goofy looking semi-auto tube in the buttstock?

I've fired one of these in FA, they are very controllable......

Most definately. Usually it's wrapped a bit better than that particular day. But it does well to hide the tube and give an interesting "Russian soldier modification" kind of look. I've actually found it somewhat of a nice cheekrest, as well.

@ H2O man...
Really nice. I'm not where i can post pics of mine right now. But, i just bought
a Vltor mod stock (spell?) for my 4 month old Wasr 10 (i've had it four months).
I had to change it up a bit for patrolling, imo. The wood stock seemed so little/short.

Just bought a stripped AR lower too. Multiple projects, i assume like everyone else on here.

Nice AK btw.
