Very nice. SO is the gent's wood work in the post above yours. I'm lazy today. Working on an AR build from a DPMS stripped receiver.

the wood is SO much nicer then the polymer handguards! Feels better, and looks better I think.

Still gotta figure out something for the stock, it's hard to find m76 or m70 wood, other then the expensive new stuff (and I would rather have surplus).

love this rifle! it's perfect....only thing I would change is the muzzle device
(Im odd, I cant stand slant-brakes or 74-brakes)

What are the handguards off of? Lovely.

Thanks, it's an East German handguard set. The lower is bakelite and the upper is a brown plastic. I've bought a lot of furniture for this thing trying to find what I prefer.

I'm liking the progress on yours too that you've posted. Good luck finding wood for the stock. I saw a Yugo buttstock for sale at Knob Creek with the Serbian crest... made me wish I had a Yugo rifle to buy it for.

Dremel wheel to cut it out, and then used the top of the disk to take the sharp edges off. took like 10min and made a non-funtional mag functional (and awesome looking).

its not a g2w mag, but it makes a fun range mag and makes folks ask questions when posted on AKFiles
