From you other post, it looks like the wood came like this? If not, what was your refinishing process?

Sanded down, good coat of minwax red mahogany stain, followed by 3 coats of clear then 00 steel wool to smooth.

Oh ,and completed both of these recently.

Egyptian Maddi (all original finish except barrel (virgin Romy)), and receiver>>

And this. Virgin RPK kit with barrel shortened to 18". Tabuk stock, and FH.
All black walnut furniture from Matt at ironwood designs.

Next personal project is a numbers matching unissued condition Tula Russian AKM from 1968.

Pulled out the AK pattern builds yesterday, and thought I should take a picture.

Funny how they multiply when left alone in the safe for a while. Worse than rabbits.

Added an ergo grip which fits my big paws better and a Midwest Industries front rail system. Really like it compared to most everything i have seen out there. Will be picking up a Magpul vfg soon and either and eotech or scout scope. On to the pics

Rebels in the DRCongo, 2009. Note the good trigger and muzzle discipline.
